Health & Fitness @ Home
Since March 2020, we’ve worked to keep our community healthy, connected and motivated virtually through Health & Fitness @ Home. Special Olympics Northern California has hosted more than 1,000 hours of programs and activities… and the fun won’t stop!
Health & Fitness @ Home will continue with new activities and events delivered straight to you. Athletes can participate in virtual programs along with their in-person sports; or as an alternative.

Fit 5 Challenge
The FIT 5 Challenge encourages regular exercise and healthy nutrition habits. Athletes are challenged to complete five days of physical activity (30 minutes or more) per week; eat five servings of fruits and vegetables per day; and drink five bottles of water (16 oz. or more) per day.

Video Library
At the beginning of the pandemic, we partnered with local health professionals, personal trainers, volunteers, athletes and staff to create interactive videos for every day of the week.
Throughout the pandemic, we hosted live daily Zoom sessions for athletes and families. Activities included workouts, stress relief tips, cooking and nutrition classes, dances, crafts and more.
