The annual Special Olympics Northern California Summer Games is our largest local competition and features thousands of athletes and coaches coming together in the spirit of inclusion. Summer Games welcomes athletes from dozens of counties to compete in swimming, track and field, bocce and tennis. Summer Games is a high-visibility, multi-day event which showcases the talent, determination and joy of our Special Olympics community. Along with intense competition, athletes have the opportunity to meet new friends, receive free health screenings and experience independence – often for the first time – all while being supported by family, friends and fans.
