Safeway
The Safeway Foundation supports Special Olympics Northern California throughout the year. Safeway has a longstanding history of hosting a campaign to support people with diverse abilities at its stores across Northern California to encourage donations at checkout. In 2023, customers raised an incredible $200,000 for Special Olympics Northern California, along with raising funds for other nonprofits! Safeway employees annually volunteer at Special Olympics events, including Summer Games. Safeway stands for inclusion by hiring many Special Olympics athletes and other people with intellectual disabilities across our footprint.
